Cochin/Silkie Cross

Cochin:

• Large, heavy breed with a gentle, friendly temperament. 
• Known for their thick plumage, feathered legs and feet, and small wings. 
• Good layers of large eggs, especially in winter. 
• Excellent brooders and mothers, often used to incubate eggs of other birds. 

Silkie:

• A small breed known for its fluffy, soft, silk-like feathers. 
• Also known for their friendly and affectionate nature. 
• Not known for high egg production, typically laying a smaller number of eggs. 
• Often kept as family pets or for show. 
• Have 5 toes instead of the usual 4 in most breeds. 

Crossbred Chickens:

• The Cochin/Silkie cross will inherit traits from both parent breeds, resulting in a variety of appearances and personalities.
